Frequently asked questions
What verification involves, what VerifD costs, what you can rent, how availability stays current, and how to list a property of your own.
What does "verified" actually mean on VerifD?
Before a listing goes live, the person behind it verifies two separate things: who they are, and that they have the right to let the space. Identity is checked against government ID, and ownership against documents for the specific property being listed.
Verification is the entry ticket to the platform rather than a badge sprinkled on top. If the owner is not verified, the listing does not exist — so there is no unverified tier of inventory to filter out.
Does VerifD charge brokerage?
No. VerifD charges no brokerage to renters and none to owners, because there is no broker in the transaction. Owners and PG operators list directly, and seekers enquire directly with them.
Owners can optionally subscribe to a paid plan for higher listing limits and management features. That is a subscription to the software, not a cut of the rent or the deposit.
What kinds of space can I rent on VerifD?
Five verticals: PG and co-living beds, homes, shops and commercial units, offices, and plots of land.
They are not separate products bolted together. Underneath, every one of them is inventory with state — a bed, a unit, a floor, a plot — which is what lets the same live-availability model span all of them.
How do I know a listing is still available?
Availability on VerifD is live, and it is tracked at the level the space is actually let. A room knows its beds and a building knows its units, so allotting a bed or letting a unit updates availability everywhere at once — search results, the listing page and the owner's dashboard all read the same record.
A listing that shows as available is available right now, not available when the photographs were taken.
How do I list my property on VerifD?
Create an account on the rentals app at rentals.verifd.in, then request listing access. You complete identity and ownership verification once, and it carries across every property you list afterwards.
From there you can publish anything from a single PG bed to an entire building, and run listings, enquiries, visits, agreements and rent collection from one owner dashboard. Managers can be given scoped access to day-to-day operations without full control of the account.
